FURMAN FARM MAY-X

At the end of my freshman year I atteneded a May expereice in Iowa on a farm with a Furman professor and five other students. We studied the practices, policies, and procedures of aggriculture through meetings and hands on expereice on family farms. The experience was out of the box and gave me an educational opportunity I will never forget. Check out my daily blog posts from the trip.

Provocative Culture- YouTube

While making my blog, I wanted to incorporate some of my own footage and make my first video. I went to Georgia Caner Specialists in Macon, GA and interviewed some of the staff to find their opinions on the provocativeness of media today compared to how it was in the past. Have a look!

PODCAST

In a group project with two other Furman students, we created a podcast on the subject of the Cultural Life Programs at Furman. Thirty-two are required to graduate from Furman and we wanted to find the opinions on campus about CLPs. For the podcast we interviewed Furman faculty. For our video we interviewed students.

GO GREENVILLE

In my advocacy class we worked all semester on a personal campaign with the concept of sustainability. My project was focused on integrating an electric car service system in Greenville, modeled similarly to what Indiana has done with their service called Blue Indy. We advocated through social media posts, presentations, as well as a video. Check it out!
